Make Firefox look like Safari
If you want to make Firefox (2.x) look like Apple’s Safari browser or maximize screen space by reducing the space of the top menubar, just get the Aqua Inspirat Firefox theme, the Compact Menu 2 plugin, the Stop-or-Reload plugin, and the Tab Mix Plus plugin.
If you do not want a Safari style, do not install the theme but install the other plugins.
Steps:
- Download and install the above plugins and theme (drag the files into Tools > Add-ons window)
- Restart Firefox
- Right-click the menubar and click customize
- Here is where the work comes into play: drag the buttons already on your menubar up as high as it will go until there is an empty bar where the navigation buttons, address bar, and google search were
- In the customization window, select all the menus under Compact Menu, and click done
- Right click the menubar again and deselect Navigation toolbar
You should now have a slim, slick looking Firefox install.
