Angie's Models & Talent

Angie's Models & Talent has been our biggest and most complex project. Graphically, we chose a minimalistic theme with a lot of white, grays, and one dominant colour: deep, wine red. We decided on an overall contemporary look with a classic font for the logo. We used a bit of flash to give the frontpage a bit of movement, without being distracting.

On a technical standing, this site needed to be able to withstand heavy traffic, while providing gigabytes of media: high quality images and streaming movies. The Models and Talent sections use a database with a PHP frontend script, and took the longest to develop. Like any project we do, we aim for a great looking site that is fast and easy to use for the frontend visiter, and easy to maintain for the client. A lot of the work put into the Models and Talent galleries is not seen by the frontend visitor. For the dynamic sections, the sections with regularly-updated content, we chose to use a blog engine for easy updating for the client and easy surfing for the frontend visitor: the client can update and add news stories and the visitors can search and view posts categorically. Angie's Models & Talent was very challenging and did result in several, sixteen hour days, but we accomplished a lot and had a lot of fun.
