Helena-Alexis.com

Helena-Alexis.com was a particularly fun one for us. We had full creative ability with no limits on how in-your-face the project could be. Because this project focuses on Helena-Alexis, we knew that the design had to showcase her and her work. The polaroid-picture idea was a natural direction because of her work. The colours are a great combination that we've been waiting to use on the right project. Although we have used Adobe Flash on previous projects, we chose to also use it for the navigation because it flowed from the dynamic pictures in the header. This gives the Helena-Alexis.com a constant feeling of movement and motion.

On a technical level, the Adobe Flash work was different because it included navigation. We opted to use a different content management system for the website, and it turned out well. We needed a lot of multimedia support because Helena-Alexis.com needed a robust gallery that was easily maintainable and integrated well into the rest of the content management system. Also, we needed room to grow, so the CMS had to have active support and development. There was a a learning curve, as with any new CMS, but ultimately, Helena-Alexis.com went smoothly.
